Scott (Crashman) Murdock

Philadelphian, Scott Murdock, is a musician with diverse musical tastes and
talents who enjoys all genres of music including classical, jazz, funk and rock
and roll. He is a serious musician who has studied and become accomplished on
various instruments including saxophone, clarinet, and flute.
According to Scott, his enormous love of music and his decision to pursue it as a career began as a young boy when he found his dad's old clarinet in the closet. This discovery sparked his interest in the instrument, which he studied all through Junior and Senior High School. By his senior year, he was participating in music festivals at the state level on clarinet and had also begun to study saxophone.
Today, Scott is a public school band director and shares his love of music with his students. In addition to saxophone, he enjoys doubling on clarinet and flute and polishes his chops in musicals and other performances held at local High Schools, community theaters and churches. Throughout the years Scott has performed in various groups in and around the Philadelphia, Atlantic City, New York, and Washington areas.
